Even though my photo is a little washed out, the color changes clearly when held in the hand (specs say at 77°F which I haven't tested, but definitely between room temp and body temp) and has a nice contrast between purple and pink, making it amusing to see where i was holding the piece while working, and promises to make amusing bath scrubbies. Product as advertised... usually: My second of three skeins of purple-to-pink fades to a lighter purple instead of to pink, which was frustrating to realize mid project. (Fortunately, the third skein matched the first, but unfortunately I couldn't find a dye lot marked to make sure things match in the future)

I will crochet mug coaster when you will put hot coffee on it the color will change. The yarn is 100% cotton but it feels softer than most, like really smooth. I’m a crocheter AND a science teacher so this yarn is my dream combo. It’s heat sensitive so it reacts to warmth from your hands, tea mugs, soup bowls—you name it. I made coasters, and even a headband, and my students went crazy when they saw it shift color when I touched it. The yarn is also just really good quality. Cotton yarns can sometimes be a bit dry or stiff but this one is silky and doesn’t fray. I didn’t have to redo a single stitch. And washing it didn’t ruin the effect either (just wash it as it recommends on the back of the label)! 10/10 would recommend for anyone who likes unique, beautiful projects.

I love the color change feature. It changed as I worked with it. It doesn’t drape as I hoped, I should have used a more open pattern for better drape. But that’s on me, not the fault of the yarn. I’ll be using this yarn again!

It started out as pink and white, but after it had to sit for awhile in my kitchen, it all turned pink. It's ok but I won't have a stripe look to whatever I project I settle on.
