How it Works?
You have 3 buttons: L - Light, S - Stitches, R - Rows
Click L button to turn on the light.
If you click S button: stitch count increases by 1.
If you hold S button for 1s: stitch count decreases by 1.
If you hold S button for 3s: stitch count resets.
Position of the S button is genius! It allows you to count stitches without moving your finger. So it doesn't slow you down.
Same applies for R button (counting rows).
Why I'll be able to crochet longer?
Thin hooks make you pinch and squeeze, which can cause hand pain, cramps, and stiffness.
Our Pain-Relief Handle features the 1¼-inch thickness recommended by hand therapists, so you don't need to pinch or squeeze to control the hook.
This means less strain, no hand pain, and longer, more comfortable crochet sessions.

Crochet again, without the cramping, the squinting, or the recounting!
See every stitch, even at midnight
The light points right at your stitch, not at your eyes. Crochet on the couch at 9 PM, on black yarn, without squinting or moving under the overhead lamp.
Never lose track of your count again
Tracks stitches and rows. The button sits where your finger rests, tap on purpose, never by accident. Your flow never breaks. The count is remembered overnight, and you can lower it when you frog.
Built thick for hand pain relief
Hand therapists say a grip should be about 1¼ inches thick. Thin hooks force your hand to clench, and that clench is the cramping. Ours lets your hand relax, so you can crochet for hours again.
Every size, in one handle
All 17 hooks, 2.5 mm to 14 mm, each one marked so you grab the right size fast. No more digging through a drawer. Wrench-locked so they never slip out mid-project.
What to Expect When Crocheting With a Vintage Crochet Hook
ADJUSTMENT - It'll feel a little different (and that's a good thing)
The first thing you'll notice is that you don't have to squeeze the hook nearly as hard. After years of gripping a thin metal hook, that can feel a little strange at first. Totally normal. Your hand is just learning it's allowed to relax.
FIRST TEST - You Try something simple
This is the day you crochet something easy just to see the flow and get a feel for handling it. A few rows or a small swatch, nothing fancy. And with every row, you'll start to notice your hand feeling more relaxed, because you don't need to squeeze the hook the way you used to.
MOMENTUM - Your fingers have already adjusted
You are feeling the difference in your hand and fingers compared to the days before there is no pain or cramping. So you feel ready to move on to the next bigger project.
LEVEL UP - Bonus features
You are testing the counter, getting into the flow, and crocheting while keeping track of the rows and stitches in a dimly lit room, using the built-in light.
YOU WON'T LOOK BACK
You won’t even think about using the old thin metal hook anymore, because you now associate it with pain. With a full set of hook sizes, you have everything you need, and this is all you use now.

Spent 1 year to design. By the people who actually crochet
This isn't another Amazon hook. It started with my grandmother fifty years of crochet, hands giving up on her, eyes that couldn't see dark yarn after sunset, a stitch count she kept losing every time I walked into the room.
So we spent a year designing it around her. Two custom moulds. Seventeen sizes, wrench-locked so they never slip. The arthritis, the dark yarn, the lost counts designed out, one at a time. Built for her, and for everyone who's been crocheting their whole life and isn't ready to stop.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No — and that's on purpose. You tap the S button when you make a stitch, R for a row. Tap on purpose, never by accident, because the button sits where your finger rests. An automatic counter would miscount every time you yarn-over, frog a stitch, or change tension. This one is right because you tell it when. Hold the button briefly to lower the count when you frog. The number stays even when the hook turns off — pick it back up tomorrow exactly where you left off.
-
The handle is substantial — about 1¼ inches thick. That's deliberate: hand therapists recommend that exact grip thickness because it stops your hand from clenching, which is what causes the cramping. If you're used to a thin hook, it takes a session or two to adjust — most women find their hand relaxes into it within the first project. If it doesn't end up working for you, send it back within 30 days. We pay return shipping.
-
The hooks are a high-grade engineered plastic chosen because it's lighter on tired hands than metal and won't chip or rust. The handle and the internal mechanism are built to last for years of daily use — we ran the moulds through over a year of testing before launch. The handle and battery are covered for two years; the interchangeable hooks for one year. If anything breaks under normal use, we replace it, no return required.
-
On most yarns — cotton, wool, acrylic blends — the hooks glide smoothly. On some rougher pure acrylics there's a slight texture difference compared to a polished Clover or Tulip metal hook. Most crocheters adjust within a project. If you crochet primarily with sticky acrylics and you're used to butter-smooth metal hooks, this is the one honest trade-off in the set — and it's why we offer the 30-day no-questions return.
-
About 8 hours of light on a single charge. Full charge in roughly 2 hours. The charging cable is included in the case. You can crochet with the light off whenever you don't need it — most evenings, an hour of light is plenty.

We designed this hook over a year, with our own moulds — not pulled from a catalogue. The S button sits on the opposite side of the handle so you don't bump it by accident, which is the #1 complaint about cheaper counting hooks. The hooks lock in with a wrench so they never slip mid-project — another common complaint about lookalikes. The LED points at the stitch, not your eyes. And every Vintage Crochet Set ships with a real warranty and a real human at the other end of the email if anything goes wrong.
-
Yes — you can use the hook left-handed, and the wrench-locked hooks won't unscrew on you the way some interchangeable hooks do. One honest note: the counter display reads right-side-up for right-handed grip, which means it'll read upside-down for left-handed grip. Most left-handed crocheters glance down to read the count and tell us it's a small adjustment. We're working on a fix in the next version.

-
Try it for 30 days. If your hand still hurts, your eyes still strain, or you're still losing count — send it back and we'll refund you. No need to explain. The whole point of the hook is that the problems get solved — if they don't, you shouldn't be paying for it.
